Editor, STORIES I COULDN’T TELL MUM Project
An International Anthology of true life stories of abuse and molestation
In June 2021, I (Peter Benjamin Peter) published an article on social media with the caption ‘MAIDS FEEL HORNY TOO’. The article was aimed at exposing some of the things children pass through in the hands of mature maids when their parents are out. Under that post, I received over a hundred comments especially from male adults relating how their first sex experience was either through a maid or close relation. Surprisingly, almost all of them affirmed that they kept their stories buried inside of them and never disclosed to their parent/guardian; some never even knew they were victims of abuse. Those buried stories are what I want to resurrect with this project.
My aim is to tell those stories to help children who may be facing similar situations and also parents who like your parent/guardian may not know what their young ones are facing. Proceeds from the sales of this book will be channeled to mass production/free distribution of this book to schools in low income countries and organizing of sensitization programs for children, parents and guardians on modern issues of Child abuse, and molestation.
